Netherlands Named for T20 World Cup

Wicket-keeper batter Scott Edwards will once again lead the Netherlands in his regular role as skipper. Star all-rounder Bas de Leede is the key player for a Dutch side. Netherlands are in Group D along will  South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal during the group stages at the T20 World Cup. The Netherlands’ first match comes on 4 June against Nepal. 

The Netherlands head coach Ryan Cook said: “We have been able to select a well-balanced team which we are confident will be able to perform in the conditions against the opposition we face in the US and West Indies”.

Captain Scott Edwards, Bas de Leede, Teja Nidamanuru are vital members of the squad. Veteran all-rounder Roelof van der Merwe and key batter Colin Ackermann were missing. Netherlands cricket team selectors replaced them with the more youthful choices of left-arm spinner Tim Pringle, and hard-hitting opener Michael Levitt in their squad. Other members of the squad:
