In the IPL 2024 final, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) triumphed over SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 8 wickets, securing their third title on Sunday.

SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bat first. SRH batter just scored 113, which is below average run score to win the game. Mitchell Starc set the tone by dismissing SRH opener Abhishek Sharma with a superb delivery in the opening over, and KKR’s bowlers maintained pressure throughout, eventually bowling out SRH for 113 in 18.3 overs. Andre Russell was the standout bowler, claiming 3 wickets for 19 runs in 2.3 overs. Chasing a modest target of 114 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, KKR comfortably reached their goal in just 10.3 overs, largely due to Venkatesh Iyer’s unbeaten 52 off 26 balls.
