New captain Rovman Powell decided as a captain for the WC T20. Two times (2012,2016) WC T20 champion WI cricket isn’t stable because of cricket board and cricketers clash.

New head coach and WC T20 winner captain Darren Sammy leads the squad and balances the squad members. Andra Russell’s inclusion is the key point for WI cricket. In his day any opposition could be demolished by his hand. But Sunil Narine’s missing is vital for them.

Rovman Powell, Nicholas Pooran, Shai Hope, and Brandon King are the main strengths of the side. Andre Russell and Jason Holder set the finishing touch in lower-order batting.

Alzarri Joseph and Sherfane Rutherford will lead the pace bowling side but a true spinner is missing in the squad. Only Roston Chase and Gudakesh Motie are reliable spinners for them. Supporting of home crowd they can do better in the tournament.
